Alexander Jacoby wins European Le Mans Series title

Brazilian driver Alexander Jacoby has won the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) title following a victory at Portimão. Racing for CLX Motorsport in the #17 car, the 17-year-old secured the championship alongside teammates Paul Lanchere and Louis Iglesias.

The race strategy involved Lanchere driving the first two hours, followed by Jacoby, who made significant progress to take the lead. Iglesias completed the final stint to maintain the first position and secure the win. This victory concludes a strong season for the team, which also saw wins at Imola and Spa, and a second-place finish at Silverstone.

This marks Jacoby’s second title of 2026, following his record-breaking win in the Asian Le Mans Series earlier in the year. Managed by Fernando Alonso’s A14 Management, Jacoby achieved these milestones during his first year driving prototype cars.
