Alexander Kovacevic eliminates Stefanos Tsitsipas in Winston-Salem

Stefanos Tsitsipas has been eliminated from the Winston-Salem Open in the round of 16 by American Alexander Kovacevic. Kovacevic secured a 2-0 victory with set scores of 6-3 and 7-6(1).

Kovacevic controlled much of the match, utilizing 13 aces and winning 86% of his first-serve points. While Tsitsipas attempted a comeback in the second set, reaching a tie-break, he was unable to capitalize on break point opportunities. Kovacevic maintained composure in the tie-break to advance.

Following this win, Kovacevic will face British player Arthur Fery in the quarterfinals. Fery enters the match after defeating Mees Renterink.
