Alexander Prinz to launch new media formats for German broadcasters

Content creator Alexander Prinz, known online as ‘Der Dunkle Parabelritter’, is launching new media formats for German public broadcasters.

In a new funk podcast titled ‘Prinz Weekly – Was machst du?’, produced by Hallewood for MDR, Prinz will host guests from science, culture, and digital media. Rather than traditional interviews, the format uses hypothetical scenarios and unusual questions to explore the values and decision-making processes of guests such as YouTuber Alicia Joe and author Marc-Uwe Kling.

Additionally, Prinz will host a three-part infotainment series titled ‘History or Mystery – Die Burgen-Challenge’, a joint production by SWR, WDR, and MDR. Available on the ARD Mediathek starting October 24, 2026, the series features Prinz acting as a quizmaster at various German castles. Guests must distinguish between one true historical fact and two fabricated stories presented by Prinz, utilizing drone footage to enhance the visual experience.
