Alexander Prokhanov's novel “Lemner” sparks scandal in Russia

Russian author Alexander Prokhanov released a new novel titled “Lemner”, focusing on the historical figure Mikhail Lemner, a character compared to Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Wagner private‑military company. The book offers a harsh critique of the contemporary Russian political elite and portrays Lemner’s involvement in sexual‑service agencies and a private security firm.
