Alexander Scott-Bowen sentenced for seven counts of sexual assault

Alexander Scott-Bowen, a 24-year-old man from Kingswood, has been sentenced to 38 weeks in prison at Bristol Crown Court after pleading guilty to seven counts of sexual assault.

The offenses involved Scott-Bowen approaching victims—including young girls—to engage in seemingly harmless conversations about their shoes or feet before grabbing and sniffing them. The incidents spanned several years and locations, beginning with three reports in Yate in 2022. Following new reports in Kingswood in March 2025, police identified Scott-Bowen as a suspect and successfully linked him to the earlier 2022 incidents.

While out on police bail, Scott-Bowen was implicated in two additional incidents in Cribbs Causeway on New Year’s Eve 2025 and an encounter with a woman in Stoke Gifford in January 2026. He was re-arrested shortly after these latest reports, leading to the seven charges brought by the Crown Prosecution Service.
