Alexander Sørloth linked to Manchester United transfer move
Manchester United is reportedly considering a move for Atlético Madrid striker Alexander Sørloth before the upcoming transfer deadline. Intermediaries have offered the Norwegian international to the Premier League club as the team seeks a specialist No 9 to provide competition and cover for Benjamin Sesko.
Sørloth, a 30-year-old standing 196 cm, has a history in English football, having previously been on the books at Crystal Palace. While his playing time at Atlético Madrid has recently seen a reduction, he has maintained a strong scoring record, including 23 goals in the 2024 season across Atlético Madrid and Villarreal.
Atlético Madrid is reportedly willing to allow the striker to leave if a suitable replacement is secured. The Spanish club is currently considering options such as Gabriel Jesus and Jonathan David. Meanwhile, Manchester United is also looking to bolster its squad following the signing of Carlos Baleba and amidst reports that Joshua Zirkzee may return to Italy with Fiorentina.
