Sasha Vezenkov named EuroLeague Round 6 MVP

Olympiacos forward Sasha Vezenkov has been named the EuroLeague Most Valuable Player (MVP) for Round 6 following a standout performance in a 105-100 overtime victory against FC Barcelona. Vezenkov recorded 25 points, six rebounds, and one assist, achieving a performance index rating (PIR) of 38. He was notably efficient, shooting 6-for-7 from two-point range and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line without committing a single turnover.

This marks Vezenkov’s 18th career EuroLeague Round MVP award, placing him just one trophy away from the all-time record of 19 held by Shane Larkin. Following the match at Palau Blaugrana, Vezenkov also drew attention for requesting a photograph with football manager Pep Guardiola, who was attending the game.

Other notable performances during the round included Chima Moneke of Crvena Zvezda, who earned the second-best index rating of 31, and Andres Feliz of Real Madrid, who scored 26 points.
