Alexander Volkanovski retains featherweight title at UFC 333

Alexander Volkanovski successfully defended his featherweight title at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi, securing a technical knockout (TKO) victory over Movsar Evloev. The win marks Volkanovski's 29th professional victory, while Evloev suffers the first loss of his career, dropping his record to 20-1.

The fight concluded at 4:54 of the second round when Volkanovski unleashed a flurry of strikes, forcing referee Marc Goddard to stop the bout with only six seconds remaining in the period. Following the match, Evloev acknowledged Volkanovski's superiority.

UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett criticized Evloev's performance during a live reaction, suggesting the challenger effectively gave up. Pimblett stated that Evloev ‘quit’ by merely covering up rather than continuing to move to survive the final seconds of the round.
