German world No. 2 Alexander Zverev, the reigning French Open champion and Wimbledon finalist, spent ten days training at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca. During the stint he worked closely with Toni Nadal, while Rafael Nadal visited the courts several times and offered advice. Zverev said the summer heat and conditions in Mallorca are very similar to those he will face in North America.

The German uses the preparation to ready himself for the hard‑court season, which includes the Masters 1000 events in Montreal and Cincinnati and the US Open, where he will also compete in mixed doubles.
