Alexandr Berlinschii accuses PAS majority of improper legislative amendments

Alexandr Berlinschii, a deputy from the Our Party (Partidul Nostru), has accused the PAS parliamentary majority of ignoring Constitutional Court rulings regarding legislative modifications. During a Radio Moldova broadcast, Berlinschii claimed that the majority continues the practice of introducing amendments that lack a direct connection to the primary subject of the law being discussed.

As an example, he cited a project concerning the National Institute of Justice, which included an amendment to Law no. 158 regarding the civil service and the status of public officials. Berlinschii also criticized the speed at which certain legislative initiatives are promoted, noting that some are registered and examined almost immediately.

The accusations follow a Constitutional Court decision that declared certain provisions unconstitutional regarding the appointment of Herman von Hebel and Bernard Lavigne to the prosecutor evaluation commission. Although Our Party proposed a bill to terminate their mandates, the PAS majority rejected its inclusion on the parliamentary agenda on October 22.
