Alexandra Ignatova wins silver at Kinoshita Group Cup

Alexandra Ignatova, the 2022 Beijing Olympic silver medalist, won the silver medal at the Kinoshita Group Cup Challenger Series in Tokyo. Competing just one and a half months after giving birth, she achieved a total score of 221.06 points.

Ignatova successfully landed a quadruple Lutz at the start of her free program, followed by a series of triple jumps. She noted that she had been practicing the quadruple Lutz since her pregnancy, driven by a desire to see if she could achieve the feat. After the competition, she expressed happiness with her performance and discussed the challenges of balancing motherhood with professional skating.
