Alexandra Kecsmár appointed as press chief for Péter Magyar
Alexandra Kecsmár, a former presenter for the RTL program ‘Fókusz’, has transitioned to a new role as the press chief for Péter Magyar. The career shift occurred rapidly; Kecsmár appeared on screen for her final broadcast on Friday and began her new position the following Monday.
Kecsmár joined RTL in 2018 as an intern and rose through the ranks to become a news presenter. While she did not specify the reasons for her departure from television, citing only a desire for ‘new professional challenges,’ reports indicate she applied for the position within the Prime Minister’s office following a lengthy selection process.
She is not the first media professional from RTL to join the communications team of the current administration. Previously, journalists Vanda Szondi and Éva Magyar, both former RTL employees, were appointed as government spokespersons.
