Alexandre Arnault joins Nike Board of Directors
Alexandre Arnault has joined the Nike Board of Directors, marking the first time a leader from the luxury sector has joined the company’s 12-member board. Arnault, the son of LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault, currently serves as the Deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy. His previous experience includes leadership roles at Tiffany & Co. and serving as CEO of the luggage brand Rimowa.
Nike CEO Elliott Hill stated that Arnault’s expertise in brand building, digital transformation, and innovation will support the company’s growth objectives. The appointment comes as Nike navigates a period of transition, including the implementation of the ‘Win Now’ turnaround plan and its upcoming removal from the S&P 100 index after 18 years.
Arnault’s first term is expected to run through Nike’s 2027 annual shareholders meeting. His background in managing high-profile brands through collaborations and consumer-focused innovation is seen as a strategic asset for Nike as it seeks to revitalize its product lineup and wholesale business.
