Alexandre Curi proposes judicial reforms during Senate debate

During a Senate candidate debate hosted by Band TV, candidate Alexandre Curi focused on policy proposals regarding infrastructure, public security, and health, contrasting with opponents who engaged in ideological confrontations and personal attacks. The event resulted in 25 requests for the right of reply, eight of which were granted.

Curi addressed the institutional crisis within the Supreme Federal Court (STF), proposing a Constitutional Amendment (PEC) to implement clearer rules for the Judiciary. His proposals include prohibiting relatives of ministers from practicing law before the STF, banning lectures for companies with active cases in the court, creating an external control body, and establishing stricter criteria for ministerial appointments using lists from the judiciary, the OAB, and the Public Ministry.
