Alexandre Kalil visits Belo Horizonte daycare during Minas Gerais campaign

Alexandre Kalil, a candidate for the governorship of Minas Gerais, visited the São João Paulo II daycare center in the Taquaril neighborhood of Belo Horizonte on Thursday (27/8).

During the visit, Kalil highlighted educational initiatives implemented during his tenure as mayor of Belo Horizonte between 2017 and 2022. He noted that the daycare, which was established through a partnership with the Urbanization and Housing Company of Belo Horizonte (Urbel), has expanded its capacity from approximately 83 children under two years old to roughly 150 children up to five years old.

Kalil used the visit to emphasize education as a central pillar of his state campaign and to discuss the expansion of the community daycare network, which grew to over 200 partnered units during his administration.
