Alexandria Chamber of Commerce to develop specialized customs training

The Customs Division of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is prioritizing professional training and qualification to modernize the customs system and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian exports. Mohamed El-Argaoui, head of the division, announced that the committee is working to develop specialized training programs designed to meet current labor market needs and keep pace with legislative updates.

Following an extensive meeting in Alexandria involving academic experts and chamber officials, the committee is identifying specific training needs to be included in the National Institute for Customs Training's plan for the 2026/2027 period. The initiative aims to integrate academic study with practical application to accelerate customs clearance procedures and improve services for importers and exporters.

The program emphasizes cooperation between the Customs Brokers and Exporters Committee, the National Institute for Customs Training, and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport to build a sustainable training ecosystem.
