Alexandria murder suspect transferred to forensic lab

The Alexandria public prosecutor ordered that a 19‑year‑old man accused of killing his father and wounding his mother and brother be sent to the forensic medicine department for toxicology testing. The family homicide occurred in the Ibrahimia district of eastern Alexandria early on the day of the incident. The father died from injuries sustained inside the family apartment on Al‑Akhaf Street, the mother was placed in intensive care with serious injuries, and the brother required stitches for multiple wounds. Police secured the scene, imposed a security cordon, collected witness statements and evidence, and are awaiting the results of blood‑sample analysis to determine whether the suspect was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crime. The investigation will continue pending the forensic report.
