Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez expands progressive influence in New York

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is increasingly viewed as a leading figure within the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, with potential for future leadership roles in the Senate or the presidency. As she enters her eighth year in office, she has been active in organizing efforts across New York, including a recent tour of rural Upstate areas.

During a gathering at All Saints Church in Syracuse, Ocasio-Cortez focused on electorate expansion and community organizing.
