Alexandros Chouvelas defends partner Eva Karydi against social media abuse

Greek stand-up comedian Alexandros Chouvelas has publicly defended his partner, sculptor Eva Karydi, following a wave of abusive social media comments directed at her. The harassment occurred after photos of the couple's outing in central Athens were published online.

Chouvelas stated that he felt responsible for the attacks because the scrutiny stems from his own public profile. "If she wasn't with me, this wouldn't be happening, so I must take responsibility," he remarked in an interview. He noted that he would defend her "500 times" and expressed a willingness to pursue legal action against those making offensive remarks.

Reflecting on their relationship, Chouvelas mentioned that he and Karydi have been together for approximately 13 to 14 years, navigating various phases and challenges through mutual admiration.
