Alexandroupolis Photo Week 2026 to launch in Greece

The inaugural Alexandroupolis Photo Week is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 8, 2026. Organized by the Thrace Creative Photography Center under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Alexandroupolis, the event aims to establish a new cultural institution in the region.

The official opening ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 31, at 19:00 in Warehouse 1 of the Port of Alexandroupolis. The opening night will feature a central discussion titled “Photography Today,” which will explore the impact of new technologies and artificial intelligence on how images are created, shared, and interpreted.

The nine-day program includes solo and group photography exhibitions, lectures, workshops, portfolio assessments, and educational activities. The event places a particular emphasis on engaging the youth and the educational community to encourage photography as a medium for storytelling and personal expression.
