Alexandru Constandachi detained in Ploiești over assault allegations

Alexandru Constandachi, an online figure known as ‘Justițiarul de Berceni’, and George Daniel Bozieru have been detained for 24 hours following hearings at the Ploiești Police Station. The detention follows a criminal investigation into allegations that the two men assaulted and deprived a 25-year-old man of his liberty.

The incident originated in August 2026, when Constandachi reported to authorities that he had intercepted a man suspected of raping a 16-year-old girl. However, the suspect filed a complaint alleging that Constandachi and Bozieru forcibly removed him from a vehicle and beat him with fists and feet. During searches of the suspects' residence, investigators reportedly found a stun gun and an airsoft weapon.

A prosecutor has requested 30 days of preventive arrest for both men. While the assault investigation proceeds, police are also continuing their separate inquiry into the original rape allegation involving the 25-year-old man.
