Goalkeeper Alexandru Maxim signs with Universitatea Craiova

19‑year‑old Romanian goalkeeper Alexandru Maxim, who stands 2.04 m tall, has left FCSB and joined Universitatea Craiova on a three‑year contract with an option to extend for two more years. The move is a free transfer after his contract with FCSB expired.

Maxim spent the previous season on loan at FC Voluntari, playing 24 matches and helping the side win promotion to the SuperLiga. He also had loan spells at CSM Olimpia Satu Mare. His arrival provides Craiova with a U21‑eligible goalkeeper.

FCSB owner Gigi Becali commented, “Noi aveam contract pe 5 ani cu Maxim și nu am vrut să‑l înregistrăm.” Maxim welcomed the transfer, saying, “Este un vis devenit realitate. Sunt mândru să port tricoul Universității Craiova.” Transfermarkt lists his market value at approximately €200,000.
