Alexia Putellas biopic begins filming in Spain

Filming has commenced on a feature film inspired by the life of Spanish footballer and two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas. Directed by Lucía Alemany, the production focuses on Putellas's childhood and formative adolescent years in Mollet del Vallès, tracing her journey from a young girl pursuing her passion to her eventual rise as a world champion.

The film is being shot across various locations in Catalonia and Valencia. It features Madicken Mauri-Sandaker and Emma Masoliver playing Putellas at different stages of her life. The cast also includes Roger Casamajor as Jaume and Marina Salas as Eli, portraying the athlete's parents who supported her early career.

Produced by a group including LAZONA, LACIMA Producciones, You First Originals, and Odessa Films, the project is described as a story of perseverance and family love. The film is scheduled to arrive in Spanish cinemas in 2027.
