Alexia Putellas discusses career move and Ballon d'Or candidacy

Alexia Putellas, currently playing for London City Lionesses, has discussed her recent career transition and her candidacy for the Ballon d'Or. After 14 years with FC Barcelona, the 32-year-old midfielder moved to London this summer to join an ambitious project led by entrepreneur Michele Kang.

Putellas described the move as a radical life change involving new cultures and languages. She expressed a desire to build something unique at her new club rather than simply replicating the established culture of Barcelona. Regarding the Ballon d'Or, she stated that her candidacy is defined by her performance on the pitch, noting that “football speaks” for her.
