Alexis Flores extradited to Philadelphia for 2000 murder case

Alexis Flores has been extradited to Philadelphia to face charges for the 2000 rape and murder of 5-year-old Iriana DeJesus. The extradition follows a lengthy legal process in Honduras, where Flores had been living since his deportation in 2005.

Authorities state that Flores' DNA was matched to evidence from the crime scene two years after his deportation. After losing several appeals in the Honduran court system, Flores was returned to the United States to face potential life imprisonment.
