Alexis Guendouz joins JS Kabylie from MC Alger
Alexis Guendouz has officially joined JS Kabylie from MC Alger. The 30-year-old goalkeeper moves to the club in an effort to revitalize his career after losing his starting position at MC Alger and falling out of the Algerian national team hierarchy.
JS Kabylie secured the transfer to address a vacancy in their squad following the departure of Idir Hadid to USM Alger. While Guendouz brings significant international experience, he faces intense competition for a starting role from existing keepers Gaya Merbah and Benrabah. The move is part of a broader restructuring at JS Kabylie, which includes the recent inauguration of the Mohand Cherif Hannachi training center in Yakouren.
The transfer was finalized following negotiations between the leadership of both clubs. Guendouz is expected to compete for a position during the summer preparation period ahead of the Ligue 1 season restart on August 27.
