Alexis Mac Allister addresses Liverpool contract uncertainty

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has addressed his uncertain future at Anfield, stating that there is no “firm decision” regarding a contract extension. The 27-year-old Argentine currently has two years remaining on his deal.

Mac Allister previously expressed sadness after learning the club was not in a position to offer him a new contract, particularly as teammates Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai recently signed renewals. While he admitted there were options to leave during the summer transfer window, he emphasized his desire to stay at Liverpool, noting, “I’m going to give it my all; I have two years left.”

Speaking from his homeland during international duty with Argentina, Mac Allister also touched upon the transition for the national team following Lionel Messi’s retirement announcement. His father and agent, Carlos Mac Allister, noted that while no contact has been made by clubs like Real Madrid, they remain prepared for future possibilities.
