Alexis Mac Allister contract uncertainty sparks Real Madrid interest

Uncertainty surrounds the future of Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as contract renewal discussions remain stalled. Although the 27-year-old Argentine is under contract until June 2028, Mac Allister has publicly stated that the club has not yet approached him with a new offer, noting, “There isn't a final decision set in stone.”

Real Madrid is reportedly closely monitoring the situation as they look to strengthen their midfield. The Spanish club may capitalize on the situation if Liverpool fails to secure a new deal, particularly as the player would enter the final year of his contract in 2027.

Under manager Andoni Iraola, Mac Allister has become a vital component of the Liverpool squad, contributing two goals and an assist in seven appearances this season. While the player expressed his enjoyment at Anfield and a desire to stay, the lack of formal progress has kept transfer speculation active.
