Alexis Mac Allister faces contract uncertainty at Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is facing uncertainty regarding his future at Anfield as he has yet to sign a contract extension. While his current deal runs until June 2028, reports suggest that negotiations for a renewal have not progressed, unlike teammates Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch, who have already committed to longer terms.

Real Madrid is reportedly monitoring the Argentine international for a potential move in the summer of 2027. While Liverpool is under no immediate pressure to sell, the lack of a new agreement could lead to a situation where the club must decide whether to renew his contract or sell the player to avoid him approaching free agency.

Mac Allister’s father and agent, Carlos Mac Allister, has stated that while Liverpool has not contacted the family regarding a renewal, Real Madrid has not made any formal approach. He emphasized that his son remains committed to Liverpool.
