Alexis Michalik announces new play

French contemporary playwright, director, and actor Alexis Michalik has announced his upcoming play, "Le Mariage de David et Leïla," which is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.

The production explores themes of belief and religion through an interreligious marriage. Michalik noted that the concept originated from an observation at a friend's wedding involving a Jewish ceremony. He expressed a desire to create theater that is accessible to everyone and serves as a "reconciliating and federating" force in society.
