Alexis Olmedo Leaves Barcelona for Celta Fortuna

Twenty‑year‑old defender Alexis Olmedo, who joined FC Barcelona’s youth system at age seven and spent the last two seasons with Barcelona Atlètic, announced his departure with an emotional letter on social media. In the message he thanked coaches, teammates and his family, and reflected on the values and experiences the club gave him.

Olmedo has signed for RC Celta de Vigo’s reserve side, Celta Fortuna, which has just been promoted to Spain’s Segunda División. He said the move is intended to help him continue developing and pursue his footballing dreams, while affirming that Barcelona will always remain his home.
