Alexis Saelemaekers suffers ankle injury during AC Milan training

AC Milan midfielder Alexis Saelemaekers sustained a right ankle sprain during training at Milanello. Medical examinations have ruled out bone injuries or damage to the ligaments, but his availability for the upcoming Serie A match against Sassuolo on October 11 remains uncertain. The club is monitoring his condition daily to avoid further injury.

To address Saelemaekers' potential absence, manager Ruben Amorim is considering tactical alternatives, with Alphadjo Cissé and Diego Moreira identified as the primary candidates to fill his role on the left side of the attacking midfield.

In other squad news, Ardon Jashari has been performing well with the Swiss national team and is expected to compete for more playing time during Milan's dense upcoming schedule. Meanwhile, several players, including Luka Modrić and Victor Chukwueze, have been managing workloads during their respective international duties.
