Alexis Tsipras faces declining trust and political scrutiny in Greece

Recent political developments in Greece highlight challenges for the opposition leadership. According to an Interview poll, Alexis Tsipras's personal trust rating for governing the country has fallen to 13.2%, down from 15.7% in late September. Furthermore, 61% of respondents do not consider either SYRIZA or PASOK to be the most reliable party for performing opposition duties.

Simultaneously, Tsipras has faced criticism regarding contradictory statements about his past governance. The Truth Team highlighted a discrepancy between a September 23 interview, where Tsipras mentioned being forced to cooperate with a party from the Right, and an October 13 interview where he stated, ‘I never co-governed with the Right.’ This contradiction refers to the 2015 coalition between SYRIZA and the Independent Greeks. Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis criticized the remark, noting that the partnership with Panos Kammenos was a defining feature of that period.
