Alfa Romeo adjusts product strategy for Giulia and Giulietta successors
Alfa Romeo is undergoing a strategic shift in its product lineup, adjusting plans for several key models. The manufacturer is revisiting the design and development of the Stelvio and Giulia following previous attempts to transition these models into purely electric versions.
Looking toward the late 2020s, the brand is planning a successor to the Giulietta, which is expected to arrive around 2028. Unlike the original compact hatchback, this new model will adopt a crossover body style to better fill the market gap between the Junior and the expanding Tonale.
Additionally, independent design concepts using artificial intelligence have begun to emerge, imagining future iterations of the Giulia as low-slung, fastback-style vehicles with futuristic elements such as suicide doors, though these remain speculative and unlinked to official company plans.
