Alfa Romeo unveils Cuorerosso concept to signal future design direction

Alfa Romeo has unveiled the Cuorerosso, a concept car designed to serve as a design and technological manifesto for the brand’s future. Debuting at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the Cuorerosso is a 2+2 four-door performance GT that emphasizes the brand's 'Bellezza Necessaria' (Necessary Beauty) philosophy, which aims to reduce digital clutter by prioritizing physical controls and driver-focused interiors over massive touchscreens.

CEO Santo Ficili clarified that the Cuorerosso is a conceptual guide rather than a direct preview of a specific production model. While it showcases a multi-energy approach—capable of supporting hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric powertrains—it is distinct from a separate, highly limited series project planned for 2027. The concept features a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine architecture and a dashboard inspired by classic models like the 33 Stradale.

Additionally, the brand is planning a new C-segment vehicle, colloquially referred to as a new Giulietta. This upcoming model is expected to be a crossover with a higher ride height than a traditional hatchback, utilizing the STLA One modular platform to support various energy configurations.
