Alfa Romeo classic models gain attention through discovery and auction

Two notable Alfa Romeo vehicles have recently drawn attention due to their unique conditions and historical value.

A rare Alfa Romeo 156 Pack Sport was discovered abandoned and covered in dust. Despite its neglected state, the vehicle retains identifying features of the sport package, including white alloy wheels and a carbon-fiber effect interior finish with orange-on-black instrumentation. The model is believed to house a 2.0 Twin Spark 16v engine.

Separately, a 1981 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is being offered at auction via Bring a Trailer. The vehicle has covered only approximately 16,000 kilometers over the last 44 years. Featuring Pininfarina bodywork, the car is finished in metallic grey with ruby leather interior. While the original electronic injection was replaced with Dellorto carburetors, the cabin remains period-correct with features such as a cassette radio and a wooden steering wheel.
