Alfa Romeo eyes new Giulietta revival while recalling 1960s spider heritage

Designer Carlo Indelicato posted a digital render of a prospective Alfa Romeo Giulietta that could appear by 2030. The concept shows a sporty compact built on Stellantis' STLA One platform, supporting electric, hybrid and gasoline powertrains as the brand pursues a multi‑energy strategy under CEO Stefano Ficili.

The article also revisits the historic development of the 1960s Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider. Inspired by a 1960 Pininfarina concept, the model featured a shortened Giulia chassis, independent suspension, disc brakes on all wheels and a low‑slung body designed by Battista Pinin Farina’s team. Launched at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the spider was officially named “Duetto” after a public naming contest.
