Alfa Romeo heritage celebrated through Milan exhibition and museum expansion

Exhibitions and museum expansions in Italy are highlighting the industrial and mechanical heritage of Alfa Romeo.

In Milan, the Centro Filippo Buonarroti is organizing an exhibition at Piazza Portello from October 19 to November 1, 2026. The event commemorates the 120th anniversary of the brand's industrial origins and the 40th anniversary of the closure of the Milanese factory. The exhibition uses 20 double-sided panels to trace the evolution from early road cars to racing vehicles, focusing on the workers, assembly lines, and social history, including labor union documents and contracts.

In Legnano, the Museo Fratelli Cozzi has expanded its offerings with the inauguration of the ‘Museo Officina’ area. Founded by Pietro Cozzi in 1955, the museum houses over sixty Alfa Romeo models. The new section focuses on the artisanal aspects of automotive history, specifically vehicle restoration and mechanical maintenance. The museum also maintains the Cozzi. LAB, a digitized historical archive containing over 300 vintage posters, manuals, and photographs, including works by artists such as Lucio Fontana and Bruno Munari.
