Alfa Romeo launches limited Tonale Ibrida Sport Speciale in Japan

Stellantis Japan has launched the Alfa Romeo Tonale Ibrida Sport Speciale, a limited-edition version of the mid-size SUV. Only 60 units are available for sale through authorized dealers in Japan, priced at 6.88 million yen.

Based on the Tonale Ibrida Veloce, the Sport Speciale features a design aesthetic that blends Italian elegance with sporty elements. The exterior includes silver accents on black side skirts and rear bumpers, black Brembo brake calipers, and exclusive Sport Speciale badging. It is offered in two colors: 45 units in Brela Red and 15 units in Alfa White.

The interior utilizes Alcantara and natural leather seats with white stitching and accents. A unique multi-color ambient lighting system, inspired by the geometric patterns of the brand’s ‘Biscione’ symbol, enhances the cabin's premium feel.

To mark the release, Alfa Romeo held a brand event titled ‘Una Notte Speciale’ in Shibuya, Tokyo. The event featured a talk session with actor and filmmaker Takumi Saitoh, who discussed the ‘aesthetics of contradiction’ and the human connection to driving, aligning with the brand’s philosophy of creating vehicles that offer tactile feedback to the driver.
