Alfauir and Palmera Upgrade Transparency Portals with Valencian Funding

The town council of Alfauir in Valencia will launch a comprehensive programme to modernise its Transparency Portal and Electronic Office. The overhaul aims to make public information easier to locate and understand, replacing a document‑focused site with a user‑centred platform. The project includes new content structures, staff training and internal manuals, and is financed through a regional grant for municipalities with fewer than 20,000 residents, provided by the Generalitat Valenciana and the Diputación de Valencia.

Palmera, another Valencian municipality, has completed a similar transparency upgrade. After auditing its portal and electronic office, the council aligned the site with the Infoparticipa standards, introduced a redesigned web layout and improved content menus. The initiative was funded with €6,000 from the Generalitat Valenciana and the Diputación de Valencia, and was implemented with the assistance of the consultancy Sequoia Pro. Both towns aim to strengthen citizen trust and promote open, accessible local government.
