Alfonso Alonso criticizes Sánchez government and predicts political shift
In a recent interview, former Spanish Minister of Health and former Basque PP president Alfonso Alonso discussed the current state of Spanish politics. Alonso, who previously served as the Mayor of Vitoria, expressed his belief that the government led by Pedro Sánchez is in a state of decomposition and has exhausted its mandate.
Regarding penitentiary policy, Alonso asserted that requests made by Otegi are being granted to Otegi. Looking toward the upcoming general elections, he predicted a probable change in the political cycle and expressed hope for an end to the current atmosphere of polarization and confrontation.
When asked about potential cooperation with the Vox party, Alonso emphasized a cultural distinction between their respective traditions but noted he would trust the party to act with sense.
