Alfonso Raimo to be installed as Bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia
Alfonso Raimo is set to officially take possession of the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia on Saturday, October 24. The installation ceremony will take place at 5:00 PM at the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Terni, attended by the Apostolic Nuncio to Italy and San Marino, Monsignor Edgar Peña Parra.
Prior to the cathedral service, Bishop Raimo will participate in several symbolic community engagements. His schedule includes a visit to the Basilica of San Valentino for prayer, a meeting with inmates and prison staff at the Terni Correctional Facility, and a visit to medical professionals and patients at the Santa Maria Hospital. He is also scheduled to meet with civil and military authorities at the Terni Town Hall.
Following the installation in Terni, Bishop Raimo will hold solemn entries into the co-cathedrals of Narni and Amelia on Sunday, October 25. His stated approach for his new ministry focuses on a strategy of listening and direct contact with local communities, including addressing social issues such as the loneliness experienced by young people.
