Alfonso Rueda, president of Galicia’s Xunta, said that if People’s Party (PP) leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo cannot form a government alone after the upcoming general election, the party will have to seek majorities that include Vox. He described such arrangements as “logical” and urged normalisation of any necessary pacts, noting that governing without Vox would be impossible against the current PSOE administration.

Rueda also explained Feijóo’s absence from the Festa do Albariño ceremony in Cambados, attributing it to the crisis in Ceuta where thousands of migrants arrived from Morocco. He apologised for the absence, recalled the victims of the crossings, and assumed the role of Gran Mestre for the event.

The regional Socialist Party (PSdeG) criticised Rueda, accusing him of extending a “red carpet” to the far‑right and equating the PP with Vox, while Rueda maintained that the PP must consider all viable options to secure a governing majority.
