Valdeorras road improvements completed to support slate industry

The road connecting Casoio to Riodolas has been completed following a nine-month project aimed at improving access to the slate industry, a vital economic sector for Valdeorras.

Alfonso Rueda, president of the Xunta, visited the area to inspect the finished works. The project was presented by the Xunta and the Carballeda de Valdeorras council as a strategic move to support the local slate industry. During the visit, Rueda met with local officials, including the mayor of Carballeda, María del Carmen González, and representatives from the Clúster da Pizarra de Galicia to discuss future projects for the sector.
