Alfonso Zampogna Wins European University Basketball Title as CUS Bologna Triumphs; Varese Signs US Guard David Duke Jr

Alfonso Zampogna led CUS Bologna to its fifth European university basketball championship, defeating the University of Zagreb 91‑87 in the final. Zampogna contributed 16 points as the Italian side reclaimed the gold after finishing as runners‑up the previous year.

Pallacanestro Varese (Openjobmetis Varese) announced the signing of American guard‑playmaker David Duke Jr. The 1999‑born guard, a former Providence Friars star and bronze‑medallist at the 2019 Pan American Games, has NBA experience with the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs and has played for several G‑League teams.
