Alfred Dunhill Links Championship: Danish and Swedish golfers perform well

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland has seen strong performances from Danish and Swedish golfers during the early rounds.

Danish golfer Niklas Nørgaard moved into a tie for fifth place after the second round, recording eight birdies and a total score of 65, seven under par. He sits two strokes behind the leader, South African Casey Jarvis. Fellow Dane Jeff Winther also performed well, sitting in a tie for ninth place after a 66-stroke round.

Swedish players Mikael Lindberg and Hugo Townsend shared fifth place after the opening round with scores of 67. Several other Swedes, including Jens Dantorp, Björn Hellgren, and Joakim Lagergren, also maintained competitive positions.

The tournament features a unique format where players rotate through three different courses—St Andrews, Carnoustie, and Kingsbarns—before the final round is held at the Old Course at St Andrews.
