Alfred Poirier, former Beverly Hills fire official, arrested

Alfred Poirier, 63, a former deputy chief of the Beverly Hills Fire Department, was arrested on suspicion of stalking and vandalism. Poirier, who retired in April, previously served 36 years with the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, the arrest follows a series of incidents involving the unauthorized posting of computer-generated images at various city buildings. While authorities have not specified the nature of the images or the identity of any potential victims, the stalking charge implies a pattern of harassment intended to cause fear for safety.

Poirier was taken into custody on September 21 and released after posting $150,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 22. If charged and convicted, he could face misdemeanor or felony charges depending on the prosecution's filing.
