Alfred-Wegener-Schule students win democracy competition
Four students from the Alfred-Wegener-Schule Kirchhain have won first place in the “#mitmachen – Democracy, Media & Us” competition. Organized by the Federal Press Office, the project focuses on promoting democratic values and processes, particularly within digital contexts.
The winning group investigated how social media comments influence the formation of opinions among young people regarding social and political issues. As a creative final product, the students developed an escape room designed to make the reinforcement of prejudices in digital spaces tangible and experiential. As a result of their victory, the students have been awarded a trip to Berlin.
