Alfred Woyome contests NDC National Vice Chairmanship

Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has filed his nomination to contest for the position of National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). His nomination was submitted by Dr. Catherine Deynu, a former Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the party.

Dr. Deynu stated that Woyome aims to strengthen the party’s organisational structures and build capacity ahead of future elections. His platform focuses on empowering grassroots and constituency-level members to sustain electoral success, as well as prioritizing sustainable job creation.

Woyome was previously involved in a high-profile judgment debt controversy where the Supreme Court of Ghana ordered him to refund over GH¢51 million collected from the state regarding disputed contracts. The NDC is scheduled to elect its national executives during its National Delegates Congress on December 19, 2026.
