Alfredo Adame found guilty of discrimination in lawsuit
A judge from the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Ciudad de México has found actor Alfredo Adame guilty of discrimination against the mother of journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante. While a conviction has been issued, the specific penalties, including potential prison time or financial reparations, have not yet been determined.
The hearing to individualize sanctions is scheduled for October 15. Adame could potentially face up to three years in prison, though legal benefits may affect the final sentence. The ruling will also impact his criminal record.
Following this verdict, Infante announced plans to pursue two additional lawsuits for moral damages—one regarding the comments made about his mother and another concerning personal insults directed at him. He is also seeking a restraining order to prevent Adame from making further public mentions of him.
